Acquisition of the company CES

The Hager group concluded the acquisition of the company Constructions Electriques de la Seine (C.E.S).

European specialist in the metal cable trunking, CES employs 115 persons, working on French sites and in various European subsidiaries (Germany, Spain, Czech Republique and Romania).

Recognized since nearly 50 years for its know-how, the quality of its products and its innovation capacities, the C.E.S company, with a consolidated turnover of 19 million euros, benefits from solid positions on the electric material distribution field in France.

With this new acquisition, the Hager group want to become a significant player in the field of the industrial and tertiary cable trunkings, by continuing the policy started with the purchase of EBO Systems and TOLMEGA companies, respectively in 1996 and 2005.

Acquisition of the Eletromar company

The Hager group takes control of Eletromar company, manufacturer of switchgear in the Brazilian market.

The Hager group took control of 100% of the Eletromar Joint Venture, created in 2001 with the American group Eaton.

This agreement results from a common wish of the Hager and Eaton groups to concentrate on their respective trades, while still continuing their co-operation.

Recognized since 60 years as specialist of protection devices and the residential distribution enclosures, the Eletromar company has gained from remarkable positions on the Brazilan market. With a sales turnover of 11 Millions Euros, it employs 400 persons on production site in Rio de Janeiro.

This takeover will allow the Hager group to reinforce its positions on the Brazilian market and, by extension, in the Mercosur countries.

Its first project will be to complete the existing offer - with NEMA standard - with product ranges to IEC standards, in order to accompany the normative evolutions in progress in Brazil.
